Things to Do and See:

Kingaroy, the centre of the South Burnett Region, is located on top of Australia's Great Dividing Range just two and a half hours drive north-west of Brisbane and west of the Sunshine Coast and Glass House Mountains. South Burnett is also home to natures own Bunya Mountains and two of Queensland's biggest inland waterways (Lake Boondooma and the Bjelke-Petersen Dam) and some of the most scenic agricultural country side in Queensland.

Try gliding over landscapes that will take your breath away, visit a working farm, visit galleries galore, museums, or check out the diverse range of primary industries show-cases in a patchwork of deep red soil, ablaze with vivid green crops.

Kingaroy is also the peanut capital of Australia, so come visit the famous Peanut Van or book a tour to view Bethany, home of the Bjelke-Peterson family and try some of their famous pumpkin scones.  And that's not all! South Burnett is also home to a number of events such as the Food - Wine Festival and Peanut Festival.
